Little Italian Girl is a true story based on an arranged marriage and the many trials and tribulations that followed. The hardships that the heroin endured caused her to become a ‘doubting Thomas”, living in fear of the unforeseen hidden agendas. But as Rosa began to trust others again and gained confidence in herself, she became more open-minded to the truth. If Rosa did not have a heart that “went on”, she may have become suicidal, and her heroic story would never have been told. My family and I witnessed many of these events first hand. This saga had the potential of causing a terrible feud, which could have destroyed all the families involved. The situation was only worsened by adding corrupt lawyers, greedy liquidators, and unscrupulous bank managers who all fed fuel to the fire. But in the end, justice prevailed. The lawyer and the liquidator have been charged with the embezzlement of over $650 million dollars. So what can we learn from this true life story?
